You tell me you going to build a soccer court in Hall 8? And where are you going to put it? Are you going to level some sloping land thinking its as cheap as the game roller coaster tycoon that costs only 5 bucks? It costs 30-40k to build one, not to mention about cost of construction, the inconvenience and the dust. Tell me how are you going to convince the SSO to grant you that amount of money?
Then you start telling me that you wan to buy a baby grand piano that cost 12k to put in the cultural room. I see....What of use is that?? Why dun you get a set of drums and some guitars with bass and amplifiers which will cost less than 5k for everything else and i think it will be of much use than WAD baby GRAND PIANO? If you are a jay chow or a wang lee hom then i dun mind, Tell me how many batches of pp can play the grand piano like them? DUn say the Hall la, Lets talk about Singaporeans. If they can play like them, Y THE HELL ARE THEY HERE IN NTU SINCE THERE ARE NO COURSES ON MUSIC.
Next the current JCRC say they bringing in a pool table which cozt several thousand. SInce you have so much money, why dun you return the money to all those who paid money for jerseys and miscellaneous stuff during Inter-Hall games?
NExt, the new committee wants to abolished canvassing. Woohoo and how are you going to do that? WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? So, the money from the BABY granddd pIANO and the soccer court come from where? YOur own pocket? OR wad?SSO? Com'on la, unless you are some big shot, what makes you think you are gggin to promise the residents you can do it. WHere will th emoney come from?
EVEN NTU student Union need to canvass and of coz they get the better priority. The hall is already going downhill, we are losers from reacreational and sports, Why dun you take some time to think about Y? other than trying to do "THAT much" with respect to the bullshit of "EVERYTHING is done for the residents of the hall" I dun really see it. ALL i can see is some crap Foosball table sitting ard at the games room, a big tv screen that has the sports SCV channels that locks from 2am to 6am and an incoming pool table that has no use except for the billard players.
30K + 12K + 5K = 47K
How do you get that money without canvassing? EVEN my 4 yrs of education in NTU i also nvr pay that much school fees. How you expect SSO to waste such money on a single Hall.
And worse of all, my roomie is acting all weird like i am the devil who spoils everything. Most prob. they know wad happened but thats him i cant do anything. I dunno about the others but i am so willing to take in critism but they are unable to. WHAT'S the point of running a commitee without an objective? 2 yrs down the road, NO investment, no foresight on their part only leads to a greater downfall. WHy? What is the vision? what is the objective? Where is the $$ issue that should be transparent to the residents? Why do you send me a FOC finance statement when what i want to see is the HALL finance statement to see how messing and how in accurate it is. IS it because it looks good on your CV thats why you are all joining this? Gd luck to all who remains, I'm at my final year. There's nothing worth to be happy ard this place other than good friends
