Last saturday, on the 15th of October, all the interns went to Kimura's house as an invitation from him. Although it wasnt a really a happening time but somehow or rather i felt a very feeling abt that. We just went to his home to chat then play with his kids thena fter that there was some tradition show of a fox demon and its like the shows known as 'wayang kulit' or the 7th mth 'ge tai' but this was a japanese style and they throw rice cakes at the end of the show. It was kind of like opera show but i just watched coz i really like that atmosphere and there were really alot of kids and i swear japanese kids are so cute and adorable and of coz well-disciplined. That wat makes the difference between SIngaporean kids and Japanese kids. First of all, when i reach my supervisor's home, i was like..wow...its such a nice and cosy place. I actually dreamt of smthing like that whithin my 22 yr living on earth. I nvr expect to see something like that all my life. When i saw his home and the atmosphere, i was like...this is smthing i i've always wanted...something similar. Although its all seem normal to the Japanese but in Singapore, we nvr had the chance to own private property and nvr had the chance to do many things like owning a big car becoz it is freaking expensive and high social status.
By the way, back to the point. Their consists of a covered carpark in the open, then a small little entrance porch with his family name and little pots of nice plants that really beautify his home. Next you step in and u see there are 2 rooms downstars and a toilet which is really small but thats normal for Japanese household. Next, u go upstairs and the 1st thing u see is the Kitchen which is so big than compared to normal households then cutting acroos the other side, u cna see the living room and its really not a common here in japan to have a living room with surround sound system and stuff. He has many many items bought from abroad...Singapore, South Africa,Thailand....for deco purpose but thats so nice. Besides their living room is a very traditional japanese style room that has tatami mats. Its very comon in japan and they are super super expensive. Tatami mats are high quality combed straw mats that gives a very nice feel when u step on them and thats really interesting. The room is like a guest room but its nice and it has cushions and futons for guests or emergency purpose. Just beside his living room is a very nice stair ladder that leads to an attic. Can u IMAGINE that? an attic. Its smthing i wanted when i was a kid. The best part abt everything is that so many things he does are DIY, thats quite a smart thing to do. and he drilled a big space that can store stuff like a storeroom and thats really useful for storage purposes. He used to be in a band and i saw an electric guitar stored in his storeroom but he told me that he plays the drums which is interesting. haha....QUite a successful man with a nice virtuous wife and 2 great great and cute and smart kids! They are really smart! Sa-ai-ya-Chan and Masaki-kun i think haha...the guy is really cute but the little girls is super super active also...haha...If u actually have kids these young and cute and such a gd wife and a good and comfortable job, I would have nothing much to wish for anyways. What else do i want after such a wonderful family?? Its interesting and nice to see such things happening ard the world. There are pp who values family so much to them. Pp who loves friends so much and pp who wants to be a gd host and pp who are just unruly as well. Although we've only seen his family once, i'm sure they werent putting on an act or smthing as i am told that most Japanese pp are hypocrites as well but i guess thats not the case, the only reason being that is because they are just too long0winded. THey shld just go for the kill and talk straight to the point. But it was really nice knowing his family. At the end of the festive show, they started to throw rice cakes below the stage and the kids were there since 7pm and they only wanted the cakes so when they dragged the show till abt 10pm, the kids were shouting "Omichi kudasai" haha thatwas so funny. They wanted the peanut packets to be thrown so that they can collect them...haha...kids.kids...so cute....Japanese kids i would say. i managed to pick up a rice cake wrapped in plastic cover and i gave it to his daughter..but they seem sad that there were so little omichi left. Perhaps the ecomomy not doing that well i think so have to cut down on their finances. After the whole thing, we went out for ramen with the family. The ramen shop is really a different and special ramen shop haha....and the kids are so cute..after eating the little boy was tired and he keep dozing off on the table. That was so cute...smart little kid too...On the way back home, the 2 of them slept until so soundly that i was starting at them the whole time. I was thinking "they are going to be terrors next time" haha....
Oh yar..i did miss out on smthing. He served us with green tea, beer and more beer and cocktails and salmon and some sashimi and i really liked it alot. He even bought a big slice of fish cake from the food fest held in Hiroshima suring Saturday to cut it up for us to enjoy. I really had an enjoyable time at his place. The family feel and atmosphere not the things and events that happened..Its weird i mean...it wasnt that fun but i did felt happy...so happy..abt his family his kids...it all seems so weird.
Japan is really a nice place to be in. I really think that not much pp can live life abroad the way these nice Japanese pp are treating us here. Although its just Hiroshima (and its family like with not much hot chicks) but the feeling is good and i love my apartment (Suncourt Tokaichi). I'm gonna miss this place when i get back in 7 weeks time. Kind of sad though. I got a chance to life and explore. I really feel so content. Makes me feel and wonder will i ever get such a life in the future. Somethings to look forward upon after work..somthing to do after work..when u get back, u see ur lovely wife and 2 kids. Thats a life of a family isnt it? Y dun i see it in Spore? SOme pp even seem to be lying bcoz they dun wanna wash their dirty linen in public. You know what? it really doesnt matter to be rich in the future or wat....being simple and loving and earning enuf for ur family to live on is good enuf for me. The more i want, the more i cant get. Let wealth be an optional thing that if i can get, i will he happy becoz of less worries and if i cant, i'll just need to be happy.
